Goes to Germany

We made it to Berlin!!!  After traveling for what seemed like forever, we now live in a cute 2 bed room apt on the Westend of Berlin.  We got to our apartment last night starving, so we went across the street and ate doners at the Westend Grill.  Yummy!!!  We also did a little grocery shopping at our neighborhood grocery store, Nankauf.

Observation of the night was, the eggs were not in the refrigerated section of the store...I hope that means it's because they're fresh.

We all went to bed around 11pm, woke up at 2 am, ate some yogurt, back to sleep at 5:30 am.  I wish I could have fallen back to sleep, but I couldn't so I will be going to bed earlier tonight.

Happy 1st Birthday RUKA!!!

A year ago today Ruka Kamana Allred surprised us by coming 6 weeks early.  It was a crazy time, but we made it through and we've been so blessed to have a healthy, happy, loving little man in our lives.  Ruka is so full of energy and love.  He's a big time cuddle bug...which I love!  He also loves the water, so for his birthday today, we took him to the pool.

Even though Ruka's not walking, he can get around just about anywhere he wants to go.  He loves playing cars right now and makes the cutest VROOOM sound.

Ruka is so great at climbing down from almost anything.  He's climbing down here to go jump in the pool.

You gotta love this lil' dude's hair!  He'll actually stay still for me to comb his hair.  I love you Buddy buddy!  Happy Birthday!

My Happy Baby Boy

Ruka 7 and 8 Months

I can't believe Ruka is already 8 months old. During these past few months, Ruka has really become a big boy. He started crawling, pulling himself up on things, and he started saying, "Da Da". Ruka is such a happy baby. You can tell that he just loves life and everyone around him. He's so observant and curious right now, so making messes is his favorite thing to do. His first tooth started to poke through just a few days ago, which I'm not too thrilled about because he's a biter and I'm still breastfeeding him (We'll see how long that lasts). I love seeing Ruka grow. It's amazing he has already caught up to his age (according to the tests that his NICU doctor did with him in Dec.). I'm constantly taken back at the joy a little one can bring. I love my little "buddy buddy".
