Happy 1st Birthday RUKA!!!

A year ago today Ruka Kamana Allred surprised us by coming 6 weeks early. It was a crazy time, but we made it through and we've been so blessed to have a healthy, happy, loving little man in our lives. Ruka is so full of energy and love. He's a big time cuddle bug...which I love! He also loves the water, so for his birthday today, we took him to the pool.

Ruka adores his sisters! He's constantly following them around to play with them.

Even though Ruka's not walking, he can get around just about anywhere he wants to go. He loves playing cars right now and makes the cutest VROOOM sound.

Ruka is so great at climbing down from almost anything. He's climbing down here to go jump in the pool.

You gotta love this lil' dude's hair! He'll actually stay still for me to comb his hair. I love you Buddy buddy! Happy Birthday!

Teething on everything! He has 2 on the bottom and the top 2 just broke thru.

Ruka 7 and 8 Months

I can't believe Ruka is already 8 months old. During these past few months, Ruka has really become a big boy. He started crawling, pulling himself up on things, and he started saying, "Da Da". Ruka is such a happy baby. You can tell that he just loves life and everyone around him. He's so observant and curious right now, so making messes is his favorite thing to do. His first tooth started to poke through just a few days ago, which I'm not too thrilled about because he's a biter and I'm still breastfeeding him (We'll see how long that lasts). I love seeing Ruka grow. It's amazing he has already caught up to his age (according to the tests that his NICU doctor did with him in Dec.). I'm constantly taken back at the joy a little one can bring. I love my little "buddy buddy".

Ruka's 6 months!

I can't believe my little boy is already 6 months old! Time is flying by way too fast. He has seriously grown and is developing so fast. I just took him to his 6 month check up and he's already 14 lbs and 24". He's about at the 3% for his weight, height, and head circumference. I love that he's sitting up pretty well by himself and is really loving solid foods now. He has become more and more a mama's boy so he wants me to hold him all day long, it's so frustrating to have to do everything with him in a baby borne. Oh well, he is my last baby and I'll just try and cherish this time as much as possible. I love this lil' man!

I got this outfit from my mom. It was my brother Matt's from when he was a baby. I thought it was too cute!

Kara and kids suprise visit

Kara and the kids came on thursday and surprised Miya and Emi. It was so fun seeing them in total shock when they came home from school to see Aunty Kara, Mikey and Kennedy there.
